Ezine articles is widely regarded as the best article directory by many people, myself included. They carry great authority and your articles always stand a great chance of doing well in Google.

However they're very strict with regards to the quality of articles. Not only that, it takes around a week for them to manually approve your article before it's listed on their site.

If they decline your article you will need to edit it and then resubmit it which will take a further seven days. Obviously you don't want to be messing around like this, you want to get your article approved first time.

An absolute must is that your article is 100% unique. Don't just copy and paste an article from elsewhere as this will lead to your article being declined.

Also don't use any spun or auto generated content. If you want your article to be listed just sit and write a unique article and submit it.

You need your article to actually serve a purpose and be informative. Don't just write a mini sales pitch or advertisement because this will result in the article being declined.

In the resource box at the end you are aloud to put a link to your site. But you can't just any old link, it has to be relevant to the article.

For example if the article is about Poker the link would have to be to a page about Poker. Another golden rule with regards to the links is never ever put affiliate links in the resource box because this is a certain way to get your article declined.

If you follow these rules there's no reason why your article won't be approved. Ezine articles are a great free resource and any serious marketer should be using them to benefit their business.
