Make A Website Using Software

Almost every website I've ever made including this one you're reading right now has been done using a software program called XSitePro and in my opinion this is by far the best way to make a website, especially if you're starting out.

If you can use Microsoft Word you can use XSitePro. For a more detailed overview read my XSitePro Review but I will give you the main gist of things right here.

When you open the program you simply add a new website to it if that's what you want or you can edit an existing website that you already have.

Let's say for this example you're making a new website. First off you will have no pages but this is soon solved.

All you do is click a button that says "Add page" and then you've got your first page. You will probably want the first page to be the home page of the site and this is an easy task also, you just click on a box that says "Make this the home page."

Then you will want more pages and this is also very easy. Again you just click the "Add page" button and you can do this as many times as you want.

Then you will need to link to the inner pages from the home page. As you can see on this website I link to all the pages from that bar at the left hand side.

This was so easy with XSitePro, every time I made a new page I simply clicked on a tab that said "Show on left navigation bar" and that was it, job done.

Also every time you create a page it is done in an SEO friendly way. SEO is short for search engine optimization and your pages are created with this in mind so that your pages stand a better chance of doing well in the search engines.

Changing the colour, theme or template of your website is also done in a few clicks, I honestly can't put it into words how simple it is.

So making the site is very simple, how about getting it online?

This is also an easy task that is done in a few clicks. First you will need to buy your domain name and hosting so read my page on domain name and hosting if you want to know more about that.

Once you've bought these you will need to enter the relevant information in to XSitePro.

The relevant information is simply the domain name and the ftp server information.

You will obviously know what the domain name is and all the other information is give to you by your hosting company. You then enter this information into XSitePro and then hit a button that says "Publish."

Then that's it, your website is live. If ever you want to change the site or add more pages to it all you do is make the necessary changes, hit "Publish" again and XSitePro will take care of everything else for you.

It truly is one of the most useful pieces of software I've ever seen and I fully recommend it to anyone.
