Domain Name And Hosting
If you're to own a website of your own you will need to buy a domain name and hosting. At this point you may not
even know what they are but I will cover it all up for you now.
A domain name is basically the name of your website, for example makemoneyonlinegeek.com is the name of my
website.
Then you will need to buy a hosting account. A hosting account is where your website is stored, think of it
a giant computer that your website is being stored on.
There are many places to buy both domain names and hosting, just search online for "cheap domain name and
hosting"
Or you can do what I've always done. I always buy my domain names from godaddy.com and I always buy my hosting from hostgator who are found at hostgator.com
Godaddy are the only company that I've ever bought domains from so I can't pass comment on other domain
providers.
However I've used several different hosting companies and Hostgator are the best. Not only are they very easy to
use but the customer support is top notch and you always get a prompt response.
Here's a brief run through of what will happen once you've got your domain and hosting, it's only brief because
there's almost nothing to it.
When you buy your hosting account you will be given what's called "name servers"
When you're ready to publish your website you need to go to your domain settings and enter in the name servers
that your hosting company gave you.
From then on publishing your website will be a piece of cake if you're using XSitePro
