Clickbank Overview

There are many affiliate programs out there but Clickbank is the most popular. Thousands of people do the majority of their business on Clickbank whether it be as a publisher or as an affiliate.

A publisher is someone who is selling an eBook or a software program as explained on the e-product creation page.

An affiliate is someone who advertises other people's products and they can advertise absolutely any program in the market place that they want.

Obviously you don't want to advertise just any old product you want to advertise a product that is selling in a market that you have interest in. Finding the right products is really easy.

Firstly you need to go to the Clickbank Marketplace and enter any keywords you want. For example if you wanted to promote a product about wedding speeches you would search for "wedding speeches."

Then all the products that are relevant to your search term will be listed by relevancy to your search term. The keyword relevancy isn't really too important because there are sometimes hundreds of products related to your search term, what you want is the ones that are selling the most copies.

So what you do is tell Clickbank to sort the products be "Gravity" and in simple terms Clickbank gravity is in proportion to how many copies each particular product is selling.

So in other words the higher the gravity the more copies the product is selling. Gravity is always in the following format

0.00 - This would be the gravity of a product that isn't getting any sales

0.50 - This would be the gravity of a product which is getting minimal sales

30.15 - This would be the gravity of a product that is getting a few sales a day

100.00 - This is the gravity of a product getting a lot of sales

It keeps going up and up, the highest I've seen was around 650.00 but this was on a product launch, no product could sustain a high gravity level like that over the long term.

My experience has taught me that you want to find products with a gravity of 30.00 or higher.

If you get a product with over 50.00 then it's making a lot of sales and anything over 100.00 will be selling hundreds a month.

Nobody other than Clickbank knows exactly what sales figures the gravity represents, all we know is the higher the better.

So search for high gravity products and then take a look at how many $$$ you get per sale. You want to find the best compromise between high gravity and the amount you make per sale.
